Our Teacher Education Program prepares students to become Montessori Teachers for Early Childhood classrooms of children 2.5 years of age through 6 years (preschool and kindergarten). Our program consists of four sections (Courses I, II, III, IV), including readings and assigned essays, classroom instruction and practical application with manipulative early-learning materials, a nine-month student teaching experience, and a review and testing phase. After completion of all requirements (described in further detail in "Course Description"), an Early Childhood AMS Montessori diploma for teaching preschool and kindergarten will be granted. An Associate Credential is granted to a student who does not have a Bachelor's Degree or US equivalent. All courses are usually completed in sixteen months.
